We'll be counting the days to Christmas with a little twist this year. Thanks to Pinterest and the several artsy blogs I have started following this year, I created my first Advent calendar today.
This is made up of tissue roll cores I have accumulated in the past several months, green construction paper to cover the holes, red felt paper for the stars and an old Christmas ribbon I unearthed from our storage box.
There are 25 tissue roll cores represent the days before D-day. Everyday, I will ask my son to put a star on one of the rolls until we reach the top. By the time Christmas comes, this would be covered with stars. Neat huh?
