Steamed Chicken with Ginger and Garlic Sauce

Here is another way of cooking chicken - steaming. This recipe was inspired by a steamed chicken recipe from the food blog Casa Veneracion. I just modified some of the ingredients because I simply could not find it! What I came up with was still a good one which my two boys enjoyed.

Steamed Chicken

Ginger and Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:
  • Chicken
  • Oregano, crushed
  • Salt and Pepper 
       Sauce:
  • 4 cloves of garlic, grated
  • 2 thumb-sized pieces of fresh ginger, grated
  • Wansuy, chopped 
  • Sesame oil

Procedure:
  1. Rub the chicken with crushed oregano, salt and pepper.
  2. Place in a steamer with boiling water for about 45 minutes.
      Sauce
  1. Place the grated ginger and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Pour in about half a cup of sesame oil.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in chopped wansuy.
  5. Wait for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to seep in.
